Some honorable mentions: Furdemption, Planet Quest, Space Marshals, Trigonarium, Adventures of Pip, The Room 3, Decluster Zero, PacMan 256... Best developer/publisher: NITROME Quantity AND quality! ios gaming doesn't get worse, no way i say. The store is only uber-littered with too much crap.
Splendor - great board game, even better app. Real surprised it hasn't even reviewed by TA!! The Room 3 - each version improves over the previous. Legend of Grimrock - excellent port! More to come but those above I have played the heck out of...
For me, I think it wouldn't be one of the game of the weeks, or the 5 star touch arcade ones. An elusive other. Reason: some games can be outshadowed in a week by premium releases,(see sword of xolan week) and get all the votes. And the consequential discovered lastability/replayability of a game may rate a game higher over time.

I found it very hard to cut down my list to 10 (or even 14), and I only played games for half the year this year. This was a great year for iOS gaming. Badland 2 Divide by Sheep Drop Wizard Eyez (I loved the mechanic and the level design, really unique. Don’t be turned off by the graphics, this is a great puzzle platformer) Furdemption Lara Croft Go Mos Speedrun 2 (wonderful level design, so much to do, at times infuriating but still awesome and doable) Super Happy Fun Block Tetrobot and co The Sequence honorable mentions (that I found really hard to remove from my list): Pac-Man 256 Pac-Man CE DX Shibuya Grandmaster You Must Build a Boat
its a hard choice to make but Land Sliders really? Not even in my top 20 Wouldn't play it if it was the only game on the App Store as a matter of fact of it was I would break my phone. And to top it off go through all the list the forum members put together and see how many even have that game on their list and some people listed more than 10 games.
Never even heard of landsliders and it looks like a game for little kids. Really odd pick for goty considering the gems we got this year.
