Arc the Lad R (Free) from Sony and ForwardWorks arrived in Japan on iOS and Android back in 2018 following pre-registrations. The mobile game is based on Sony’s Arc the Lad franchise that debuted in Japan back in 1995 on the original PlayStation. Arc the Lad R’s staff includes some of the core team who worked on the first two PlayStation entries in the 90s and this mobile game is set a decade after the events of Arc the Lad II. A global release was confirmed last year by Boltrend Games who brought Idola Phantasy Star Saga to the West. Arc the Lad R includes strategic battles and charactrs from the original games. Arc the Lad R also has seasonal characters and PvP arena battles. Check out the official English website for it here. Arc the Lad R is free to play with in app purchases including different lucky pots, spirit stones, and more. It is a 2.5GB download. As of now, there has been no official release date announcement but the App Store page mentions a May 11th release date. This could change as we get closer to release.
