‘Idola Phantasy Star Saga’ Finally Releases Next Month on iOS and Android with Pre-Orders Now Live

The free to play turn based RPG Idola Phantasy Star Saga (Free) from Sega released initially only in Japan on iOS and Android back in 2018. It was showcased as a 30th anniversary celebration release for the Phantasy Star series and was featured at TGS 2018 before releasing in Japan. It is finally heading outside Japan next month thanks to Boltrend Games. The staff for the game includes Shuntaro Tanaka (Valkyria Chronicles, Phantasy Star Online 2 es) who is the producer of Idola Phantasy Star Saga with Sho Mutsuura (Phantasy Star Online 2) responsible for art direction and Tomomasa Chin (Phantasy Star Online 2 es, Valkyria Chronicles 2) who is directing the game. A Western release was recently confirmed and today we have a release date with pre-orders going live. Watch the original reveal trailer below:

Idola Phantasy Star Saga features a fully voiced main campaign, Idola battles you can take on with friends, and a PvP arena. Today, pre-orders and pre-registrations for Idola Phantasy Star Saga went live on the App Store and Google Play. The App Store listing mentions a September 17th release date as well alongside various in app purchases that include Star Diamonds and a Star Diamonds Pass. Idola Phantasy Star Saga is now available in Japan on iOS and Android. If you’re interested in the English release, you can pre-order it on the App Store for iOS here and pre-register for it on Google Play for Android here.
