Back in May we learned that The Pokemon Company would be teaming up with developer DeNA to create a new mobile Pokemon game, and later that month during an official Pokemon Press Conference it was revealed that the project in question would be titled Pokemon Masters and feature a roster of Trainers from across the entire history of Pokemon games. About a month after that, a special 8-minute video presentation revealed all sorts of details for Pokemon Masters including a release window of this summer and detailed looks at the combat. Keeping the hype train running, a new trailer was released a few weeks later, and a few weeks after that Pokemon Masters became available for pre-order on both iOS and Android. Which brings us today, where we have learned that in the few weeks since pre-orders went live more than 5 million eager Trainers have signed up across both iOS and Android.
If you can’t count yourself among those more than 5 million pre-orderers, but you’re interested in Pokemon Masters, then you can pre-order on the iOS App Store here and pre-register on the Google Play Store for Android here. We are just a couple of weeks away from the official launch date, which is listed as August 29th, and I’m really looking forward to checking out just what Pokemon Masters is all about, as apparently more than 5 million other players are too.
