It’s hard to believe that it’s been two years since developer The Gentlebros announced that they were working on a new action RPG called Cat Quest. In fact, we’re just a couple of days shy of that being two years exactly. We followed the development closely through the end of 2016 and into 2017 until last August when Cat Quest ($4.99) officially launched in the App Store. And it was good. VERY very good. We loved it in our review, we picked it as Game of the Week, and we thought it was easily one of the best games of 2017. So it probably shouldn’t be a surprise that we were excited when The Gentlebros announced a sequel last month. Like, REALLY excited. But you know what’s even more exciting than that announcement? This first trailer for Cat Quest 2, which was just arrived today.
As you can see, Cat Quest 2 looks to offer more of the brilliant, highly accessible open-world action that the first game brought, but this time you’re not alone. Your fearless feline companion is accompanied by… A DOG!? What madness is this? Yes, these mortal enemies will combine forces to take on a new threat in both familiar and new locations in Cat Quest 2. You can also look forward to new weapons, new spells, new quest, and basically more of everything that made the original Cat Quest such a delight. The only downside is that Cat Quest 2 isn’t set to arrive until some point in 2019, so we’ve got some waiting to do, but I’ll try to be patient as I wait for a sequel to one of my favorite games to arrive. Hey! Maybe I’ll pass the time by playing through the first Cat Quest again? For the, uh, fourth time? Don’t judge me!

Well I think it looks good and every since the first one released I asked and hoped for a dog quest type sequel. The one thing that concerns me is that I’ll HAVE to be player 2 to play as the dog. Hopefully they will consider us dog lovers and allow a rotating on the fly option so we don’t have to search the world over to find a second player. I’m glad to see a co op added but I still don’t have anyone to play with so, try to add an option for single players to swap characters.
It's CAT Quest anyway
I hope we can get controller support on this one like the first had on PC.
Can't wait to support these guys again! Well done.
Won't be picking it up without controller support. I bought the first one, when they announced they would be adding controller support to MFI, and then they didn't come through.
Nice! Big fan of the first one!
OH MY PAWD I'm so excited :D. Ever since the little hint in one convo in Cat Quest 1 I've been hoping for a sequel with doggos, and it's comiiiiing woo!
