On this week's special episode of The TouchArcade Show, we celebrate the 100th recording of our show with a bunch of notable guests and celebrities. Later, in our second segment we take call-ins from fans and talk about our favorite or most memorable moments on TAS, as if all of them haven't been amazing.* Somehow, we manage to talk about video games in the middle of all of this. You name it, we discussed it: Fish Out of Water, Cut the Rope Time Travel, TMNT: Rooftop Racing, and R.I.P. Racing are just a few that we get to.

If you'd like to listen, go ahead and hit one of the links below. You can subscribe to us on iTunes or Xbox Music, too, if you'd like to get our shows the second they hit the Internet (more or less).

Just a note: even if you're a new listener, or if you've been with us since the start of this re-boot, we humbly thank you for your ears, support, and e-mails. This has been an amazing experience so far and we're stoked to keep going. You're awesome! Thanks!

Here's the video on the concept of "perfect imbalance" in game design that Eli mentions near the top of the show:

*None of these things are true, but wouldn't it have been awesome if we remembered this was episode 100 beforehand and got some guests or celebrities or took phone calls? Yeah, it would have been rad.

Your podcast was the podcast that got me in to listening to podcasts, and thats awesome. But your still on the top of my favorite podcast for sure. Lets hope for 100 episodes more! 😀

    • swarmster

Totally agree. This is the only podcast I've ever been able to get into, and I listen every week. Looking forward to episode 1000 already.

      *does the math real quick*

      Wow, we'll be old.

      • swarmster

Actually, THAT would be cool to hear. What do you think you'll be talking about on #1000? Then when it happens we can try to borrow some mp3-playing equipment from this solar system's space museum and listen to how wrong you were!

        *goes to re-check his math*

Or whatever. (Bonus: whoever's answer doesn't involve free-to-play gets a cookie?)

  • yellowlightstick

Do you talk about why you refuse to use YouTube when doing so makes no sense? Just curious

    • swarmster

      Spoiler: nope.

It honestly strikes me as odd, too, because the people complaining about getting too much info about new releases this week got both an explanation of what was going on and some arguments behind it the same day. Meanwhile there are actual technical issues going on with a major feature of the site and no comment either in the posts or the Site Discussion forum thread.

Some kind of contractually obligated silence? I wouldn't have expected it from TA.

  • Josh Dombro

On free-to-play games "Things don't have to be the way they are on iOS" - YES! Thank you! It's nice to see that someone still believes there are effective (and non-sleazy) ways to do free-to-play...

Congrats to your 100th episode. Saying I look forward to your podcast every week is understatement - thanks for the great content! Here's to another hundred episodes that all mention banana mouth.

Amen to spreading banana mouth awareness.

  • Illuminerdy

Thanks for answering my question on your 100th episode. It was hard for me to listen to it being read cause I wrote it drunk, but I appreciated the nuanced response.

Be excellent to each other indeed.

    • Illuminerdy

Jared kinda got to the heart of it with the Roger Ebert metaphor.

Congrats on reaching episode 100!!! Love the "Jared Cat Games Song."

  • vicsark

Keep up the good work guys, congrats on reaching 100. I started around 75th, is there a way to download some older podcast in iTunes?

And wtf, how did Brad not miss a single one? Doesn't Eli allow you to take vacation once in a while?! 😉

  • Lucas Reed

Since there seems to be a big interest in LoL and possibly Dota 2, what are your thoughts on Heroes of Order and Chaos?

  • Nutrilica

There actually is a Pokemon MMO for pc (idk about Mac) it's obviously not made by Nintendo, but it's still awesome. Just google it.
