Pixel People (formerly known as After Earth) is an interesting simulation game that's heading to iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch at the end of this month. In the game, you're tasked with re-imagining the world after an apocalyptic event. Making things harder, you've only got two human gene samples to work with and a heck of a lot of infrastructure to put back into place by cloning the right people for the right jobs.

Talk about ambitious. We've got some new footage of the game -- the first since GDC 2012 last March -- embedded below. Give it a peep if you'd like to get a closer look -- and trust us, you want one.

City building games usually only dwell on boring stuff like consumption, networking, and production, so it'll be refreshing to play one that kind of flips this on its head by giving players the control over the chemistry of the city's people, literally. We'll be keeping an eye out for this, no doubt.

Look, I love your site and all the info it provides me on iOS games and such. However, could you please put something in the headline like "UPCOMING" or something to designate titles that have not yet been released?

I go off looking for games like the one you mention in this article thinking it's already out when I later come to find out that it hasn't been released yet.

I see that there is a "tag" denoting the info, but Reeder doesn't show tags. I see a title like this with a video, I watch the video, think the game is great looking, and I immediately go off to try to buy it.

Look, it's just a suggestion. I'll try to visit the site or the iOS app to better know if they are upcoming titles or already released ones.

There is already a big "upcoming" tag next to this story ...

Use the toucharcade app, it's a great way to experience this site, and you can watch games like this and get notifications when more news is posted, or it's released/updated

Where have I been that I had no idea about this title? Looks like I will eat crow about this month being otherwise lackluster! Heroes & Castles, Slug Gunner, Dungeonlot, Joe Danger and now this looking potentially good have helped turn the month around from being a total bust for me!

Loved the isometric strategy game called Utopia for my Amiga back in the day...

Anyone else played Utopia: The Creation of Nation on their Amiga back in the day? Funny similarities here... I wonder where my previous post about this went?

Look beautiful. Hope it's not too freemium based

Looks like an annoying weak-sauce game that I'll have to try just b/c it has an original twist -- and then delete it.
But maybe I won't delete it? Y'never know. It could be good...?

I seriously can't wait till this game comes out ^.^

Any news about the release date?

This is a lot like the Simpsons Tapped Out, and lots of Simpson fans liked that, let's just hope the wait times for building aren't as long.
But still, this looks promising, and a bit of Gaming Me loves to do some science in games, and using DNA to repopulate your town? This shouts FUN!!
