Pixel People (formerly known as After Earth) is an interesting simulation game that’s heading to iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch at the end of this month. In the game, you’re tasked with re-imagining the world after an apocalyptic event. Making things harder, you’ve only got two human gene samples to work with and a heck of a lot of infrastructure to put back into place by cloning the right people for the right jobs.
Talk about ambitious. We’ve got some new footage of the game — the first since GDC 2012 last March — embedded below. Give it a peep if you’d like to get a closer look — and trust us, you want one.
City building games usually only dwell on boring stuff like consumption, networking, and production, so it’ll be refreshing to play one that kind of flips this on its head by giving players the control over the chemistry of the city’s people, literally. We’ll be keeping an eye out for this, no doubt.
