Hey, remember this past Friday when we told you that the Nintendo DS remake of Final Fantasy IV was heading to iOS later this month? Yeah, it's a pretty big deal. Anyway, that's not the only Final Fantasy-related news going on right now, as in celebration of this announcement Square Enix has put the rest of the Final Fantasy iOS RPGs on sale until December 14th. You can gear up for the upcoming new release by running through the original Final Fantasy trilogy, that is if you have a couple hundred spare hours to spend doing so. I wish I had that kind of free time! Anyway, here's the rundown of the price cuts.

- Chapter 1-4, $28.99 → $16.99

- Chapter 2: The Generals Approach, $9.99 → $5.99

- Chapter 3: Warriors of Light and Darkness, $9.99 → $5.99

- Chapter 4: Twilight, $9.99 → $5.99

- Chiptune BGM, $9.99 → $5.99

Square Enix marches to the beat of their own drummer when it comes to pricing on the App Store, and have seemingly done pretty well targeting the higher price tiers. They also don't run a whole lot of sales, so if there's anything in the list above that you have yet to pick up it might be worth busting the wallet out for during this sale. Also keep an eye out for Final Fantasy IV to drop next week on December 20th.

Square Enix does a SALE??? *faints*

Lol.. final fantasy dimensions. A one man developer fanfare to see how much money they can siphon from the stupid and the desperate.

    • Onikage725

Actually, it's pretty good. SNES era good. If it dropped for ds no one would complain. Stop being all butthurt and get a job. No one minded buying Radiant Historia, CT DS, FF Advance games, FF IV The After Years, Golden Sun - any retro or re released portable rpg with 30+ hrs length for $30-40 bucks. FF IV TAY in particular, the sequel content was by the same devs as Dimensions and came on PSP. Don't hear complaints.

I'm really loving Dimensions. Picked up all four chapters during this sale and haven't been able to put it down for 3 days. It's really fun, has a full blown job system, seems uber long, and the story is surprisingly great!

I can recommend this one for sure 🙂

  • smugpugd

Which one of these games is the ff3 released in the US? The one with the "Oh My Hero" song and Edward the spoony bard, LOL. I went to buy 3 and it looked like a completely different game from the one I remember as a kid?

    • snoogans103

Well, "edward the spoony bard" was from FF2 on snes, which is actually FF4, the game being released soon. FF3 from snes is actually FF6

    • Onikage725

None. FF4 (formerly known as 2) will be out soon. FF6 is not currently available on iOS. That's the one with the opera.

      • Onikage725

Ahhhh snoogans had this covered. App won't let me delete tho.
