We expect you're following the Appvent Calendar but if you're not, here's the latest one-day freebie we feel compelled to tell you about.
We reviewed this one back in September, and quite enjoyed the swipe interface and art style. There were some game balance issues, though that has been addressed in a recent update.

I little milestone in iPhone gaming. Everyone should get it!
Anybody who doesn't have Samurai should take advantage of this opportunity to get it for free — as your personal robot says, it's a milestone. And, if you like it, pick up their next game, BloodyXmas, which should be coming out soon. I got to beta test it, and it's sick, gory fun.
Great game. One that everyone should have.
It takes a second to get used to the controls (like many iPhone games, actually…), but once you do, it's a great game!
Don't walk, RUN to grab this one!
Well I got the ninja slide to slice game for a buck, and this looks more refined, and for free! cool
I picked it up! That's one thing I like about the app store, I basically gave up on games a while back, but every once in a while some dev throws up their offering for free or dirt cheap, and I get pulled back in a little bit. Pick up Beneath a Steel Sky and Sim City and now this one.
Haven't played much yet, but it definitely seems underpriced at free. Kind of reminds me of Okami/Viewtiful Joe.
and this game is amazing.
this game was sick, especially before balancing. Was the hardest game I've played on iphone =)
Still very good though. Love the delayed cut
the fights are awesome! it's kinda short though
Not free in the austrian store yet…
it was free on the 5th :p
I’m surprised to find I like this game! I recommend Dojo mode to get used to blocking and different methods of control (for instance, you don’t HAVE to swipe on an enemy, you can swipe anywhere that’s comfortable.)
A game this good should never have to go free just to get publicity. Seeing this kind of bums me out. I gladly spent $2.99 on Samurai when it first came out, and I have absolutely no regrets about my purchase.
