Wow. This game looks awesome. I can't wait to get it!!! Any idea if we can download other users tracks? That would make it really fun!
Do you guys know what the price point will be like? I'd definitely spring for it immediately at 59p.

Why would a developer, Strange Flavour, need a publisher, Freeverse, to release a downloadable game through iTunes?
Agree that the game meets the instant buy criteria.
Downloadable tracks for the lazy and uninspired? Yes please.

"Why would a developer, Strange Flavour, need a publisher, Freeverse, to release a downloadable game through iTunes?"
They were already our publisher for our Mac and Xbox 360 titles, so it's generally easier for us to go through them for iTunes. It has its benefits for us, such as stronger advertising, marketing and general presence and they get a hot, UK based 2 man developer to keep confusing them with odd linguistic references
As for downloading tracks, we've got a system ready to go in the 1.1 update, assuming the initial game sells well enough. It also gives us time to see what sort of tracks people are designing and set the server up accordingly.

You should get a few sales at least, mine anyway! Brian mentionned $2.99 in an interview online, is that a definite?
January 14th, 2009 at 10:37 am
There's going to be a 3 day launch price of $0.99 before the price goes to its full $2.99, so it's worth grabbing it quickly
January 14th, 2009 at 10:44 am
Thanks for the info on the price, Aaron. Definitely going to get it! You're awesome
January 14th, 2009 at 10:53 am
Wow, $.99?
Every guy over 25 or so with an iPhone is bound to grab this one.
January 14th, 2009 at 11:36 am
Yes notyou I am over 25 and will be grabbing this the second it comes out… I have never been let down by anything with the Freeverse name on it… Hopefully Apple hurries this one up and pushes it through ASAP!

Wow, that was more of an answer than I was waiting for!

I want to pay at least $5 for this. The app store is going to kill game develoers if they are expected to sell games for so cheap.

I just can't wait any longer!!!
Any idea of the review time from apple (and about the release on the Appstore…)?
January 15th, 2009 at 8:53 am
I won't say how much I would pay for this one (wouldn't want to find out one day I can't log onto the forum anymore
), but I assume 3 days launch price is the cost of trying to get up in the ranking lists as quick as possible.
It's that or a Lite version and trying to replicate iShoot's success? (No, all things considered, I'll have the launch price)
