Last month, Boltrend Games announced that it is bringing Level-5’s Fantasy Life Online (Free) to the West on iOS and Android. Originally released in Japan back in 2018, Fantasy Life Online for iOS and Android in Japan was a sequel to the excellent Nintendo 3DS game Fantasy Life. If you’re not familiar with Boltrend Games, the publisher has brought over many Japanese games to the West over the years like Disgaea RPG and Arc the Lad R. The timing of the global release for Fantasy Life Online is interesting because Level-5 announced that the Japanese version will be shutting down in the middle of next month. If you’d like to play it, you can pre-order Fantasy Life Online on the App Store for iOS here and pre-register for it on Google Play for Android here. The App Store lists various in app purchases including various diamond tiers and different passes. As of now, a release date has not been announced, but the App Store lists Fantasy Life Online for December 7th. Until we get an official release date, this should be treated as a placeholder date. Boltrend Games’ release will be available in all regions barring Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Vietnam, Japan, South Korea, and Chinese Mainland. After a few years of waiting, I’m glad to finally be able to play this in English. Hopefully the December 7th date listed is the real one and we don’t have wait too much longer for Fantasy Life Online.
