Pre-Registrations for Mobile MMORPG ‘Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds’ Are Now Live for Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan

Originally set for release last year, Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds from Netmarble and Level-5 is one step closer to releasing. Today, pre-registrations and pre-orders (via Gematsu) for the mobile MMORPG based on Level-5’s Ni no Kuni franchise have gone live for iOS and Android. Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds has been built on Unreal Engine 4 and it has continued to look excellent in each video so far. Gorgeous visuals are the one consistent aspect of the Ni no Kuni games so it is great to see the aesthetic translate over well to mobile. Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds includes PvP, PvE, and multiple playable classes. Check out combat details here. Alongside the pre-registrations and pre-orders, Netmarble has also released a few short videos showing off some gameplay. Watch one of the videos below:

As of now, Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds doesn’t have a confirmed release date but the App Store listing for Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan has it listed for June 30th. This could be a placeholder date. A global release hasn’t been announced yet but given how Ni No Kuni seemed to always have a decent audience in the West, I wouldn’t be surprised to see this come over eventually. The first Ni No Kuni game on PS3 definitely capitalized on being a home console JRPG when most of the developers who made games in the genre shifted to portables in those years. It is going to be interesting to see how Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds does considering Ni no Kuni II was only on PS4 and PC with no Nintendo Switch version so far.

If you’d like to check out Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds in its initial release regions, you can pre-order Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds on the App Store for iOS here and pre-register for it on Google Play for Android here. You can also pre-register on the official Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds website here. Have you played both Ni No Kuni games yet and are you looking forward to Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds?
