‘Dead Cells’ on iOS and Android Just Got the Big Legacy Update Bringing It to Version 1.6 with New Biomes, Enemies, Bosses, Weapons, and a Lot More

TouchArcade Rating:

Playdigious previously confirmed the DLC and update roadmap for the brilliant Dead Cells ($8.99) on iOS and Android. We featured Dead Cells as our Game of the Year for 2019. The roadmap mentioned that Fall 2020 would see Dead Cells hit 1.6 with the Legacy Update while 2021 would see the Bad Seed paid DLC and more arrive. After teasing the update yesterday Playdigious have released it on both iOS and Android. The Dead Cells version 1.6 update adds Boss Cell 5, new weapons, skills, mutations, bosses, enemies, biomes, and more. With a content roadmap out and the game constantly getting better, now is a great time to get Dead Cells on iOS or Android. Details for the weapons, skills, and more from the update are here. Watch the Android launch trailer for it below:

If you haven’t bought Dead Cells yet, read our review of the iOS port here. We featured it as our Game of the Week as well when it released as well. If you’re on iOS, you can buy it on the App Store. Check it out on Google Play here for Android. If you aren’t sure whether to buy it on mobile or Switch, read this. I hope Playdigious and Motion Twin will eventually allow save transfer from iOS to PC like some other recent PC ports do. Have you played Dead Cells yet on Switch or iOS?
