‘Dragon Quest Tact’ Launches Next Week in Japan with Pre-Orders Now Live on the App Store

Dragon Quest Tact from Square Enix was announced for iOS and Android a while ago. The tactical RPG based on the Dragon Quest series for mobile platforms features turn based combat and encounters with enemies from the series on a grid based map. Pre-registrations went live on the official website a while ago with no news for a potential English release. After initially revealing a Summer release window for Japan, Square Enix has confirmed the release for Dragon Quest Tact with pre-orders now live on the App Store. Watch the latest trailer for Dragon Quest Tact below:

If you’re interested in checking it out in Japan, you can pre-order Dragon Quest Tact on the App Store for iOS here and pre-register on Google Play for Android here. The game releases on July 16th in Japan. It is going to be interesting to see what Square Enix does for Dragon Quest fans in the West this year. While many people likely want older games ported to consoles, I just want a localisation of Dragon Quest VII on iOS since a localisation exists and a port exists. Are you going to try out the Japanese release for Dragon Quest Tact?
