‘Dragon Quest Tact’ Launches This Summer in Japan with Pre-Registrations Now Live

Square Enix’s Dragon Quest Tact for iOS and Android is a tactical RPG based on the Dragon Quest series for mobile platforms. It has turn based combat and encounters with enemies from the series on a grid based map. While a closed beta already took place, the company announced a release window for Japan with pre-registrations now live. A localisation has still not been announced for those waiting for an English release. I don’t expect a localisation to be revealed until the Japanese version is out for a good amount of time given the company’s past with localisations for the franchise. In addition to the pre-registration news, a new trailer for the game was released. Watch it below:

Pre-registrations for Dragon Quest Tact are now live on the official website. Check it out here. Dragon Quest Tact is set to release this Summer in Japan on iOS and Android. I’m very curious to see what Square Enix does with the Dragon Quest franchise in the West this year. Hopefully we can get Dragon Quest VII localised on iOS and Android at some point. Are you going to try out the Japanese release for Dragon Quest Tact?
