Ahead of Its Release Next Week, ‘Professor Layton and the Unwound Future’ Gets Its First Trailer for iOS and Android

TouchArcade Rating:

Last week, Level-5 announced an HD remaster of Professor Layton and the Unwound Future for iOS and Android devices. Professor Layton and the Unwound Future released on Nintendo DS back in 2010 and was titled Professor Layton and the Lost Future in Europe. Level-5 already brought the first two Nintendo DS Professor Layton games to iOS and Android as premium releases over the years. Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box and Professor Layton and the Curious Village both arrived on iOS and Android as premium releases with HD visuals and the final game of the first trilogy arrives next week. Today, Level-5 showcased Professor Layton and the Unwound Future HD on iOS and Android in a brand new trailer. Watch the trailer for the HD release below:

As with other Level-5 games on mobile, this release will likely be a different game (in name) for North America and the rest of the world. They are using the Nintendo DS localised names so the North American release is titled something along the lines of Professor Layton and the Unwound Future HD while the international version will be something along the lines of Professor Layton and the Lost Future HD when the game goes live on iOS and Android for $9.99 next week (going by previous pricing). Check out the original official English website here for the mobile version. Did you enjoy the first two Layton games on mobile or did you only play them on Nintendo DS?
