The Big ‘Stardew Valley’ 1.4 Update Is Live on Android with the iOS Update with Apple for Approval

TouchArcade Rating:

A few days ago, Stardew Valley ($4.99) 1.4 went live on Android. This is a major update to the game adding a new end game mystery, new events, fish ponds, a new farm map, 60 new items, 14 new music tracks, massive improvements to collections, and a lot more. The full patch notes are here but the notes include spoilers so avoid them if you have been spoiler free so far. The 1.4 update is something we have been following for a while now as it hit PC and eventually consoles. Once the update hits iOS, you can also bring your PC save to iOS and if you aren’t sure how to do it, read this but keep in mind that PC 1.4 saves are not compatible with earlier versions on mobile.

Ever since the game launched on iOS, it has received multiple updates fixing and enhancing controls and bringing in new content to catch up with consoles and PC. Read our review of the iOS version. We even featured it as our Game of the Week. While the update is only out on Android as of now, Chucklefish confirmed that the iOS update is in the approval queue with Apple. If you don’t already own it, you can buy it on iOS here on the App Store and for Android here on Google Play. The 1.4 content update is a free update on iOS as well. Here’s our forum thread on the game for more discussion. Once this update and the fixes arrive on iOS, hopefully multiplayer can be considered for the mobile versions of Stardew Valley as well.
