This got a bit lost in the holiday hustle and bustle of last month, but I wanted to make sure everyone was aware that Veritas, the new adventure game from Glitch Games, is available for pre-order ahead of its February 12th release date. Why does this matter? Well, to recap, Veritas was originally announced in November of 2017 and, at that time, was expected to release in just a few months. Obviously that didn’t happen, and in October of the following year Glitch officially delayed the game to some point in 2019. While most of the year passed by, it was clear that they weren’t going to hit the 2019 mark either, so in October of last year, nearly a year to the day of the delay announcement, Glitch fully committed to a release date of February 12th, 2020. Now that we’re finally less than a month away from the release of Veritas, it seemed worth reminding everyone again that this is one they should have on their radar. Glitch Games is responsible for the fantastic Forever Lost trilogy, as well as many other great titles like A Short Tale and All That Remains. They are modern masters of the somewhat lost art of adventure games, and Veritas looks to be their most ambitious project yet. In fact it has taken so long precisely because they love the setting and story so much that they just kept on adding new stuff to the game. Also because Glitch Games is only two people. Remarkable stuff.
