We are huge fans of the Forever Lost series of horror-themed point-and-click adventures from developer Glitch Games, but I have to admit it was kind of a long journey. You see the game was released episodically, and the first Forever Lost episode came out in the fall of 2012, with the second episode arriving in June the following year. Then it was a little more than two years before we received the third and final episode of Forever Lost. So you could say we know a thing or two about eagerly waiting for new games from Glitch, and things haven’t changed a whole lot with their new project Veritas. It was originally announced in the fall of 2017 with a release planned for 2018, but then about a year later it was officially delayed into 2019. Well, we’re about a year out from that announcement and it turns out we aren’t getting Veritas in 2019 either. The bright side? Glitch has actually nailed down a release date as spelled out in the brand new trailer below.
They always say the best things in life are worth waiting for, and after Forever Lost I’m down to wait as long as it takes for Veritas. The game has you waking up in a strange facility with your only memory being that you signed up to take part in some sort of strange experiment being run by a company called Veritas Industries. Your job once you awaken is to explore the facility, collect clues, solve puzzles, and figure out a way out of that place. It looks like there will be a really intriguing story behind Veritas and I can’t wait to get my hands on the final product when it finally arrives on desktop and mobile on February 12th of next year.
