Watch an Extended Gameplay Demo of ‘Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition’ from TGS 2019 Including a Boss Fight

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition from Square Enix finally got a release date recently and it has been confirmed to support cross platform play. This is a pretty big deal because it isn’t just cross platform play between Nintendo Switch and mobile but PS4 as well. Square Enix also implied that you will be able to transfer your progress across platforms. At TGS 2019, Square had an extended stream of the Nintendo Switch version. Watch the gameplay captured by Gematsu below:

Since this is the Nintendo Switch version, expect the iOS and Android release to look and run similarly. There are a few performance issues in the video above but it is possible those are just in the livestream footage and not in the final game. If you’re interested in playing it, you will not have much longer to wait. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition releases on January 23rd, 2020 for PS4, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android. As of now a price point hasn’t been announced yet. Have you played this on the GameCube before or will you be experiencing it for the first time in January 2020?
