Epic Games just released a big patch for Fortnite (Free) on all platforms. Patch 3.4 that has been available on iOS for a few hours now as of writing, and includes various bug fixes and new features. While the patch includes a ton of additions for all platforms, the iOS specific fixes and enhancements include various alerts for unsupported devices and some new graphical enhancements. When it comes to visuals, 4x MSAA is now available for Fortnite on iOS across all supported devices. Speaking of supported devices, Fortnite will now display an incompatible device alert letting the user know that they need a device with 2GB RAM for working. Whispers and party text chat are also now available on the mobile version.
If you have a jailbroken device, Fortnite will now alert you that your device is not supported. One bigger change is the new download system for data. This will let the team send out smaller updates in the future instead of the larger ones on the App Store. This change will sadly require you to download all the game data once you update which is about 1.8GB. Some of the other fixes include better tap and tap and hold detection and reduced load times on the iPhone X. And, of course, the guided missile is added for even more explosion-based fun. Full patch notes including changes to other platforms and the party system are here.
