I’ve mentioned quite a few times in the past that where the mobile platform excels at is at offering a huge community for multiplayer games, and upcoming 2D multiplayer shooter Armajet aims to capture precisely that community. Armajet developers describe the game as a competitive, mobile, multiplayer shooter with fast-paced jetpack combat, and as you can see from the trailer below, it looks both fast and fun. The developers enjoy the esports scene, so they are aiming to create a spectator-friendly fast-paced arena shooter that will be fun to play but also fun to watch. The game is easy to play but hard to master with the depth pro-gamers want from a competitive game, always according to the developers.
In making Armajet, the developers felt that mobile devices would be the best fit for such a game since mobile gamers are more than 3 times the number of PC players. The game runs at a native 1080p/60fps and features hundreds of unlockable weapons, items, and powerups. And it’s built on a proprietary platform specifically designed for low latency, synchronous multiplayer. If this game looks like a game you’d like to try out, the developers are offering an open Alpha version of the game for a short period of time starting May 13th. If you are an iOS or Android user who wants to get in on the action, go here and sign up.
