Freeverse sent on these screenshots and a new teaser video for their upcoming game Days of Thunder. We took a look at this new title at Macworld San Francisco where they were demoing it.
Based on the 1990 film of the same name, Freeverse is developing Days of Thunder for Paramount and tells me that the iPhone game brings the film’s storyline along with the action. The accelerometer controlled game features a variety of cars to choose from and both Circut and Track racing modes.
While there’s no shortage of racers on the iPhone, this one looks a bit more “fun" than many of the existing ones. Complete with crashes:

Blake had some hands on (YouTube) time with the game in January. The game should be available this week according to what we’ve heard. So stay tuned.
Sounds like a must-buy... but a "Classic" edition with the 10 minutes stocking up your wagon with supplies would be killer too.

All I gotta say.. is this iPhone version of Oregon Trail better include the original as well.. so I can choose to play the version I want, and also will satisfy all the nay sayers.

Not a chance in hell that I'll be buying this. Come out with the original version (including original graphics!) and I'd gladly pay twice that.

Why does everyone want the crappy original graphics? Its not like they add anything to the gameplay, if anything they take away...plus they are not suited for the devices at all, imagine trying to squint and read that tiny text. This is 2009....not 1989...updates graphics look amazing!
Oh my gosh Daniel, I would kill for a Word Munchers (or Number Munchers) game! Those were my childhood. Someone, make this happen!

I am def getting it. Loved the original and this looks even better. Even if its not the original then I'm still excited for the game, looks amazing.
Well, it's now March 6th and no sight of Oregon Trail in the app store! I'm slightly disappointed.
Me too! Where is Oregon Trail and why is it taking them so long to kick out a game that was pretty much done?
