Well, today is Games Day, which is fitting considering this might be the last release onslaught we'll see until next year. The iTunes freeze starts on the 23rd and runs through the 27th, which greatly limits the things developers can do on the App Store. It's possible we'll see another normal release week depending on when iTunes Connect comes back up on the 27th, but the week following the freeze is always a little weird. Barring any last-minute surprises, I think we can breathe a sigh of relief that we've seen every new game already this holiday season.

Here's all the new games that have been posted to our forums:

Stay tuned for a full roundup later this evening.

Can you still download games from the AppStore during the freeze? We are giving some iPads as gifts and I hope they can get some on Christmas Day.

Yes, you can. The freeze just limits what developers can do (uploading new games, releasing updates, changing prices) if I remember correctly.

Yeah, although I believe over the years they've made it a bit more functional during the freeze and you can schedule releases and price changes? Back in the day iTunes just locked up, including the charts, until the freeze was over.

I kind of miss the full lock down, it added some excitement and mystery, same with the usual dramatic price drops just leading into it.

I remember picking up the entire ea catalog at one point in around 2011 for 99 cents each.
