When developer PikPok threw up a teaser site in early August for some sort of creepy upcoming game, most folks guessed that it would be a follow-up to their atmospheric zombie runner/shooter Into the Dead (Free). Well, it turned out those people were right as just a few short days later Into the Dead 2 soft-launched in the Australian App Store. Into the Dead 2 promises more of the gruesome zombie slaying and the frantic need to survive of the original game, but weaves in a more substantial storyline as well as top-notch level designs and some new gameplay variety. Here’s a brand new trailer showing Into the Dead 2 in action.
Man, that trailer! It gives me goosebumps. I love that there’s a greater emphasis on story this time around, and especially an emotional element surrounding family. Knowing you’re trying to get home safely so you can see your daughter might just be the extra motivation you need to avoid dying a gruesome death at the hands of a bunch of jerk zombies. If you’re the impatient type, you can get in on the Into the Dead 2 action early by downloading it in one of its soft-launch regions using the link below, and you can jump in on some discussion of the game in our forums. Otherwise look for this one to hit in just under a month on October 13th.
