Ubisoft has announced a new shooter for mobile, Tom Clancy’s ShadowBreak. This game has kind of an interesting idea to combine the popular “sniper" FPS genre on mobile, with Clash Royale (Free) inspired combat. You have a deck of units with different energy costs taht you deploy into battle, but you also have to play as the sniper at the home base. So, you can shoot at enemy units and possibly at the enemy sniper, taking them out to try and get an advantage, but coming up to aim with your laser sights theoretically makes you visible and able to be seen. You can jump from hiding spot to hiding spot, though, allowing you to keep your enemy on their toes.
This has a curious combination of genres, and while my concern with any Clash Royale combined with real-time action game is that it’s a tricky balancing act for the player to monitor both aspects at one time. This one is out in Canada, and you can check out both our guide to download soft launch games and the forum thread for the game if you give it a shot.
