Sega and Picomy’s Heroki ($4.99) has just undergone a big update that promises to improve the experience. They’ve made some tweaks to the controls, though it uses the same 3 control methods, though the default when you first launch the game is now the joystick, interestingly enough. It might take some time to figure out just how improved these controls are, and if you reinstall the game, it’s now smaller, but requires you to go back through the tutorial before you can get to where you load up your iCloud save. Still, control tweaks could go a long way toward making players happier with the experience if they do dive back in, or are playing for the first time.
As far as new features go, you can now play Heroki on Apple TV, and there’s cross-platform iCloud support so you can carry your save from iOS to tvOS. MFi controller support is also here, so you can play with that on your TV or iOS device, in case the touch controls still aren’t good enough for you. The Heroki update is available now.
