TinyCo's Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff [Free] is running a special event starting today, crossing over with Star Trek in a new in-game event. A variety of Star Trek characters are in the event, mostly from The Next Generation, including Picard, Riker, and Data, and all of them are voiced by their original actors. Captain Kirk is making an appearance in the event as well. Star Trek has had plenty of references in the Family Guy show and the Next Generation cast did all appear on one episode, so this makes a lot of sense.

As for the game itself, you'll have the ability to send teams on exploratory missions to other planets to get resources, fighting enemies on the USS Enterprise with the Family Guy cast getting involved and in special Star Trek outfits, all in the name of fighting the Borg. The event runs through April 30th, and the update with the new event is available now.

How about a real Star Trek game? Or I would even take Tiny Trek for that matter.

What about Trexels? Is that what it was called? I agree though.

      • Spam_TheChat

        Trexels isn't a game. It's a pure cash grab.

i haven't played the family guy game in a really long time, but isn't it pretty much a "pure cash grab" too?

Yeah, this game is horrendous. I had never played it before. It's awful, and I now see Touch Arcade gave it two stars. I think that was a bit generous. I was hoping the Star Trek stuff would be accessible from the beginning, but I see no sign of it, and I just can't bring myself to continue playing.

This game has kept me entertained for over a year, I can't say that about any other game. Sure the premium characters and buildings are priced a little ridiculously, but I have never spent a dime on this game. It's one of those things, it's not really fun, but it's like an ant farm or a chia pet.

I've been playin Family Guy too over last couple months. Been enjoying building my Qauhog. Working on unlocking Mayor West in District 10.

Love Star Trek so this Family Guy update is right up my ally. Will enjoy getting some trek goodies.

I enjoy it when it works. Sadly, this is pretty infrequent now. A year ago it was a great game because it was reliable and stable. As of now? One of the worst games in the entire world due to glitches that kick users out in 1 or 2 minutes or less and doesn't save progress.

Think I'm going back to Simpsons Tapped Out...as even that game was more reliable than FG.

I usually cant stand these type of "phone" games....but Family Guy QFS is actually really entertaining. Once it gets going it can be very addictive. I'm actually setting my alarm to get up in the middle of the night to reset my characters.....

I started a group to bring attention to Tinyco that most everyone wants to keep the Star Trek event as a permanent side game.

    • jaredc1200@gmail.com

I do NOT want it made permanent. I want it dead and gone ASAP. The game was stable and reliable before this promotion. It has been totally unreliable since it began. Get rid of it on 4/30/15 as promised so people like me can actually play the game again at some point in our lives.

This game is absolutely horrible. How do I get to the Star Trek stuff? Can't I skip this crap? It's horrendous. How can anyone waste their lives on this?

  • jaredc1200@gmail.com

The game has been unreliable and glitchy for 3 straight days now. Kicking people out every minute or so and not saving game progress. This started a few days after the Star Trek event began.

Perhaps Tiny Co. should spend their time making the game reliable and WORKABLE and ensuring it REMAINS so....rather than wasting their time talking to media outlets and pushing or promoting the game (which isn't working for the existing users now anyway).

  • jaredc1200@gmail.com

Read through the Facebook comments on the FG Quest page and you will see that about 1 out of every 3 refers to a glitch, a problem, a bug or some other issue. Lot of unhappy users out there!

What's most appalling about it is nothing ever seems to change for the better and Tiny Co. doesn't respond to the complaints. If I gave that kind of customer service at my job, I'd be canned before the end of a week.
