Namco Bandai has announced today a new entry in the SoulCalibur franchise that is coming to consoles as well as… Mobile! There’s little to no information on this title called SoulCalibur: Unbreakable Soul apart from a really confusing trailer which shows the game's "Adventure" mode running on a PlayStation 3:

Is this supposed to be a visual novel? A card battler? It’s a bit hard to tell and the fact that they aren’t showing any combat at all in the video isn’t reassuring me. Still, the fact that it’s coming to consoles and that this trailer is about a new mode dubbed "Adventure" should alleviate some of those fears. I’ll patiently wait to see what Namco has in store for this particular version, but I will keep my expectations quite low. Look for more information on Soul Calibur: Unbreakable Soul in the near future.

Damn! What an action packed trailer. Best trailer of 2014, so far.

Is it bad the very first thing that came to mind before I even started reading the article was "card game! i know it!"

What? How do you guys not get it? This trailer
    makes PERFECT sense to me...

Does no one remember the new moga controller that was supposed to be revealed at gdc? I looked on ta but there seems to be no mention of it.

And no word from MOGA for a month until a couple days ago which was about their customer support.

It costs one gem for punch, one gem for kick.

    Buy 10 gems for £1.49.

    Worst. Trailer. Yet.

Honestly, aside from the character portraits and names, there's no indication that's a Soul Calibur game.

I'm a little heartened by the fact that Project Soul is doing it, but only a little. What's wrong with an iOS specific Soul Calibur fighter, with integrated MFi controller support? $14.99 and job's a good 'un.

I'm a huge fan of soul caliber and the last vertion of this game that was on here cost 15 plus dollars which kinda stopped me from getting it if this upcoming game is anything like the console version id be happy anything less say a card game and I'm not even going to waist my time with it
