While most of our community seems busy being blown away by Simogo's recent release, Year Walk [$3.99] we figured it'd make some sense to shine some light on another game of theirs which we also like quite a bit: Bumpy Road [$2.99]

We gave it five stars in our review which hit a little less than a year ago, and really liked how Simogo took the platformer formula but switched things around to have you control the game world instead of the actions of a specific character inside of it. This shift is a bit of a brain-teaser to start, but once you wrap your head around it, you'll start to do really well.

There's also a photo collecting mechanic that slowly unlocks the story behind the game, adding an additional clever twist to an already clever game. Anyway, check out the video:

    Simogo rules!

Looking forward to more TA Rewind articles. 🙂

It's a nice game but I don't see the point of going over it again. Most people know about this game yet many other games get overlooked because it's just not possible to review them all. I would rather see an article about games that went under the radar then promoting a game that is already well established.

    But yes, great game.

We're going to be featuring quite a few games from back in the day before we had capture hardware. These are intended for people who recently got into the iOS scene and might not be aware of some of the amazing buy-once-play-forever titles that were released before they got their device.

Don't worry, we're still going to post about new games. 🙂

This is great news. I've been meaning to email you this idea, but your initiative trumps my laziness. Keep them coming. Thanks.

        Like Doodle Jump? XD

I second this emotion. It's a beautiful game and has a unique control scheme, but to be honest, it's just not that fun. There are tons of great games never reviewed on this site.

I would love to see a winter level for Bumpy Road... Maybe even Year Walk themed? The creatures could rise up out of the road and water. It would be amazing to cross games like that. Plus Spring and Autumn are just crying to have Winter join them!

I would have thought adding iPhone 5 support to Sneak Beat Bandit would involve a lot of effort as you would have to redo all the levels to fit the new aspect ratio.

Or just add some extra textures at the top and bottom. That's what Dungelot did.

They also never updated both Bumpy Road and Beat Sneak Bandit to Retina for the iPad. And call me crazy, but that's the reason I'm not buying Year After.

3 days ago, from Simogo's Twitter account:

"We're making Bumpy Road ready for iPhone 5. Aiming to have the update availabe in a not too distant future!"

tA might have missed this piece of info.
