Fantastic news, guys. The folks over at Telltale are creating another new series of games based on a popular multi-media brand -- a brand with proven staying power, a brand that deals with hard issues with aplomb, a brand led by the visionary Dick Wolf. That’s right. Telltale has announced that it’s partnering with NBC Universal to put out some Law and Order: Los Angeles video games in 2011 for the PC, Macintosh, consoles, and of course, mobile platforms.

Who needs the next Monkey Island [$6.99] episode when this is in the pipe, right?

Not much in the way of detail is available at the moment, but PR has advised press that the game will focus heavily on interrogation and investigations. Also, courtroom drama has been confirmed. Again, I remind you, DICK WOLF.

Law and Order: LA fits very well with the style of episodic entertainment experiences Telltale has been building since our very first days,” said Telltale co-founder and CEO Dan Connors in a fancy statement. “The talents and skills that we’ve been building at Telltale are ideally suited for the structure and storytelling approach of televised procedurals like Law and Order.”

Dick Wolf.

About to change things in this game with RPG elements, and ensure the search for new and eye-catching bag or a celebrity virtual model or a designer for some tasks, such as requiring the kind of place.

Newsflash! Ace Attorney wasn't the first game to do that.

When did I say that? I just said what popped into my head when I read that statement.

newsflash: jumping to conclusions makes you look like a dick (but using the term news flash really accomplishes this on its own anyways)

If anyone could do a good Law & Order game, its telltale. But, I don't know if I woulf want to even look at the iOS version of this game. I would want a specific, more realistic presentation for the game to be acceptable to me, something Ive never expected from them, and something that even Unreal 3 hasn't shown on the platform. The cartoony (lacking a better word) presentation and character models worked for Wallace & Gromit, and Back to the Future, but there is no way I would tolerate that in a L&O game. Then there's the CSI games, which soley from 15 min I've seen on YouTube, looked awful. The voice acting seemed decent, but the character models are atrocious, theyre like talking Sims 3 characters.. I cant imagine Terrance Howard looking like that, so I'm very skeptical, quite frankly this announcement leaves me puzzled, unlike the others.

I agree with myself. Considering that Telltales last few games are revivals of classics (Wallace & Gromit, Back to the Future, and Jurassic Park) I was hoping that it would be the original L&O with an older cast (mainly Sam Watersonand Jerry Orbach, or an impersonator). I thought they were great, I just have no interest in following these new characters, the announcement only makes me want the old one. Maybe if this one is successful, and enough people demand the classic L&O, but I don't know........

Just finish a season of one of your existing series Telltale!

I watch this on TV from time to time. I'm on the second season of LA right now :). It's drama that is bearable to watch. My roommate hates this show however.... since his mom is a lawyer and he has a better understanding of how unrealistic this show can get at some points. I mean heck Futurama made fun of Law and Order in one of the episodes with the space judge that went "I'll allow it" after each outburst, lol.

It's on it's second season already? It hasn't even been a year since the show started, I don't know, I have zero interest in watching it. Though I would say, for L&O, I find it silly that anybody would compare it to real life. It is a drama, short for "dramatization", so it is definitely not supposed to be accurate portrayal of actual events, because real life is boring. Case in point, I am typing this message on my iPod in real life. It is very boring, but the "drama" version would have me going out to the window to witness a 5 way gunfight, followed by me doing a 180 dive away from the window in slow motion during an explosion. that is the difference between reality and dramas.

TV for the easy to please. Games made from TV. Back to Dungeon Raid

    • Mrsmartiepants

I think you're thinking of CSI. Law and Order were extraordinarily well done and written, and not really "easy to please."
