New 'Eliminate' Video Released

Following ngmoco's announcement that their upcoming online multiplayer deathmatch game Eliminate is going to be free, our forums have absolutely exploded with activity. Anxious gamers who can't wait to have Eliminate in their hands have created an unstoppable juggernaut of a thread that recently topped 6,000 posts with over 160,000 views. Eliminate is in Apple's hands, and hopefully will be approved and on the App Store soon.
In the meantime, ngmoco released another gameplay video. While it's obviously not as good as playing the game itself, it gives you a fairly good idea of the kind of fast-paced gameplay you can expect in the world of Eliminate.
For more information on Eliminate, take a look at our hands-on preview from ngmoco's press day earlier this month or ngmoco's official Eliminate site.

Awesomeness!
For sure… I foresee this being a giant hit. Graphics are great, features and gameplay sound great, and free? What more can we ask for?
Holy crap, you guys posted this quick, haha. Can't wait for it to come out, it looks great
I think the game will be over-the-top awesome, but they'll eventually have to upgrade their servers and increase the max-players-per-match number to 8, because 4-player matches are gonna get boring fast.
Not so sure about that, when I played the preview I was impressed with how the maps were designed to be small enough that you never felt like you were searching for someone to shoot at. Also, 4 player deathmatch can still be fun. In my younger days my friends and I quite literally wore out entire sets of N64 controllers playing Goldeneye's deathmatch which was extremely basic by today's standards.
I would also prefer 8 Players. With 4 players it is really hard to play against experienced, skilled players because you often meet the same person. With 8 Players it's better 'mixed', I think.
Should be ok if they match players by accuracy and kill ratio.
4 players sounds fine for me, as long as servers work good with no lag and quick match making
Well, I Think all the areas Are designed for 4 players. I dont Think it will be a problem for ngmoco to design new 8 player-areas. I cant wait
This looks like it's going to give me motion sickness. LOL Looking forward to it.
4 players is plenty since it is just a free for all death match. However, with all of us that bleed "HALO," future updates with maps and game types(king of the hill, or other team matches(CTF)) would be cool. I think we need to just chill out on trying to do a better job than the awesome developers at NGMOCO! We're all just really excited, so we can't stop talking about it!
I curious to see how the servers are going to handle the flow of traffic period. This game is going to be a big hit some I'm sure they're going to fill up quick, at launch.
Yeah! It is going to be awesome, but i would love to see team-deathmaches and capture the flag modes…
Must… have… real… FPS… on… my… phone
Even just DM will be a great start!
It's going to be interesting to see what jagoffs go ahead and powerup for 24hours straight at a heavy cost and just max their stats out ASAP.
I'm off this Friday… I may fall under the Jagoff-Category.
is there any jumping at all in this game? did not see anyone jumping in this video. Just wondering.
There is jumping. Tap the middle bottom of the screen to do so. If you watch the video you briefly see the outline of the button around the 10 sec. mark.

Excellent – thanks for the prompt reply
I read "Eliminate" and "released" and got my hopes up.
Oh well, the trailer will suffice for now.
seems like the iphone's wolfenstein/doom.
never cared about the genre on the pc, don't see a reason to change for the iphone. but history repeating itself, they'll make a fortune in dlc bits.
dude it is nothing near those two games u mentioned cause this game is goin 2 b awsome
How Will the game be able to play over 3G-networks with those high ping rates?
O.o The controls are way better than any iphone fps I played…
i check appstore every day. what takes apple so long to release it? it´s been in the hands of apple for a week or so now…just release the app app.
8-players would not be possible without a significant boost in overall Wireless Network signal strength. I don't believe your typical 3g network could handle it. In the U.S., we're talking AT&T. AT&T's network certainly can't handle it. iMech was laggy as hell with it's 8-player DM, and iMech was much more basic of a game than Eliminate. The ability to play over a 3g network is what seperates multiplayer games on the iphone from the rest of the competition. In order to maintain that advantage, certain sacrifices must be made.
I'm dieing for this game
I wish they'd release it already, whats with all these teasers and no real info on the release date? It looks ready to go, whats the hold up?
i bet at$t's the hold up
guys- do u have any idea how long it would take 2 approve this type of game- all the code, server testing, bugs, and the fact that this game is played over the internet should take pretty long testing, but i do hope they will release this soon cause im dyin 4 it.
They don't look over the code, they just see if it works without crashing.
oh. my. GOD.
how many f*cking front page news posts is this retarded game gunna get?
what is this like the 100th?
release the stupid game already. its been getting hyped for like a year.
By the way, I don't think there has been a single game with true online multiplayer that Apple hasn't given hell too. At least, not unless Gameloft develops it. Apple is extremely finnicky when it comes to approving true online games. If said online game features reasonably realistic violence, i suspect it's even worse. See iMech if you don't believe me. In other words, this game could take weeks. It's already taken weeks, I know, but it could concievably takes several weeks more. Perhaps not, but Outer Empires seems to have gotten the Apple screw-hammer. And don't even bring up Quantum Collapse's attempt to integrate multiplayer. What a fiasco that was.
In the video, i think two ducks are playing the game
No VOIP = fail
