421230Pixel Mine has just released the Lite version of their hack and slash RPG Underworlds [$0.99 / Lite].

We really enjoyed the game when it was first released and the game has since seen significant updates adding music and addressing several user concerns. Still at only $0.99, we highly recommend the full version if you have any interest in the genre.

Pixel Mine's Bill Money also let us know that they are about to start beta testing a 1.2 update that contains "more than double" the content of the current version of the game. This should address any nagging concerns that the original might have been too short.

Wow what a coincidence, I just beat the game about 5 minutes before I saw this. ;-)
I hope the update comes soon because it is a good game.

I rather like this game a lot and I am glad to see them supporting it well after the release. Course, I could really use a map along with the extra content.

I still find this game hopelessly unbalanced. I'm stuck before one of the bosses (big ogre in the inn of some kind?) and can't progress any further. No enemies behind me to find loot and exp on, and no possibility of going forward. Bleh. Compared to the level of polish on some of the more recent titles, I think this one feels like a rush job.

You can always start the game over with all your stats, loot, money, etc. at any time. That's basically how you powerlevel through content you can't yet take on.

Jason D, you can't beat the very first boss in the game? n00b!
