Here are a few of the latest $0.99 price drops that are worth picking up.

I recommend isotope to everyone that doesnt have it yet. its a really good game. also caster is an ok game. love the price drops.
Thanks for the tip on isotope, should keep me busy for the better part of the day!
"A nice 3rd person shooter"? That's all you can say about Caster? Caster is easily one of the best games on the iPhone. The graphics are an 8/10, the controls are 10/10, the gameplay is 10/10. While some racing games have had better graphics like NFS or Real Racing, their gameplay is really lacking. IMO, Caster is one of the best overall games on the platform along with Nanosaur, Field Runners, and Fast & Furious. Plus, Caster is episodic so the Dev is going to soon release an entire new set of levels and challenges. It should cost $10.
Controls 10/10? Not quite mate. They're good but not that good, maybe 7 or 8. I wouldn't even give a mouse/keyboard 10!
Well, obviously I mean relative to the platform. They're abit odd at first but once you get used to it, they really seem quite natural. Controls have been a weakspot on the iPhone/Touch but I think this layout is about as ideal as you can get for this game and a touchscreen.
I reckon you're trying to do you're best to recommend Caster – but Real Racing has the most awesome gameplay out there – If you're saying it hasn't then I'm afraid a lot of people won't have much faith in your opinion on Caster as Real Racing has stunning well balanced gameplay
You're probably right. I just never quite gave it a chance. I enjoyed the challenges in Asphalt and the online competition with Fast & Furious.
Actually, "A nice 3rd person shooter" is giving Caster TOO much credit.
And what are a few of the other 3rd-person shooters that you consider better on the iPhone/Touch? Some of the others might as well be on rails the way they guide you through levels.
Caster is the BEST action game on iPhone, period.
I'll hop on the recommendation train and throw my vote to Caster. I've played the light version extensively and it's got a really neat game mechanic. The controls take some getting used to, but we should definitely support this talented indie developer.
I think I can justify the purchase for less than a buck
"Plus, Caster is episodic so the Dev is going to soon release an entire new set of levels and challenges. It should cost $10."
New content will be 100% free according to the developer.
Don't forget Defender Chronicles, that's on a 99c sale too.
Yeah, I meant I would pay $10 for it, not that the new episode would cost anything. Poor wording on my part.
Ciruit Strike One is on sale as well for 99 cents.
I promised myself I would not buy any games today.
What the heck
I'll pick up Caster! It's clearly not like any game I already have.
Caster is a blast for those interested in a power trip. The bugs are fast and furious, but you've got the skills (or can acquire them) to take 'em out.
Caster's really good for a shooter but the controls are a little hellish 4/10 at the best, it doesn't make the game unplayble but it doesn't make the game enjoyable either. If you have an extra buck to spend go ahead and buy it, if not there's not much to miss.
How are the controls a 4? I'd say 9…it's touch anywhere so controlling is a breeze. You just put your thumbs down and drag the way you want to go, controls great.
Dropping 59p on Caster based on the recommendations here.
Looks impressive.
Thanks TA
Caster is a fun game, with good graphics, but the controls are average at best (especially when it comes to shooting).
Picked up Isotope last Friday and have been playing it quite a bit. Controls are pretty good, but at times it gets tough when you're covering up the screen or if your fingers slip off. Well worth $.99 IMO, it's got some legs to it.
Have you tried the fixed dpad option?
I simply don´t get this people hating on Caster´s controls…they´re perfect for playing a 3rd person shooter on the iphone
It's the people who take 1 second to try a game and decide they hate it because they're not good.
Seriously, in terms of controls, touch anywhere cannot be beaten for an action game. Anywhere you place your thumbs is the dpad and you tap to shoot. It cannot get better.
wow Isotope is one of the best games I have played on the iphone. just got caster last night and all i have to say is that I'm impressed with how well it controls. Taxiball is just plain fun.
