The number of games coming out for the iPhone can be quite overwhelming. Last night, in particular, brought a large number of new releases, some of which we've been anxiously awaiting. Here's a list of some notable game releases (and videos) from just last night.
Since we haven't had a chance to evaluate them all, we can't necessarily recommend them yet… but it's worth watching these game videos which are included after the break.
- Tiki Golf 3D ($2.99) – "insane" mini golf with a unique control system. Discuss.
- Sweetwater Defense ($3.99) – 3D tower defense with pirate fleets and sea creatures. Discuss.
- Stragea ($1.99) – 3D real-time strategy game we previewed. Discuss.
- Return To Mysterious Island ($4.99) – 3d adventure game offers over 15 hours of gameplay. Discuss.
- Parachute Panic ($0.99) – land as many skydivers on boats as possible. Discuss.
We will circle back to the best ones, or you can decide based on the videos included below.

its certainly been a busy month for game releases, no question about that. seems as though there are plenty still on the horizon to!
i hope sales figures are working out for developers and we see an increase in high quality games in the future, let this be the start and not the begining of the end due to saturation of tha market!
i do get annoyed by 2 bit developers who feel the need to charge sommit for simple to program apps and games tho. there is an 'entity' called the public domain whereby you can pick up amazing games for nothing, free .. its good to see that this community spirit is alive and well in some corners of the appstore. i think some greedy merchants need to think twice before shovelling rubbish in front of us for a quick buck. you know who you are!!
Sweetwater looks pretty promising. The grappling hook tower I think I see is a clever idea.
I am looking for new pirate games. From where can i get it?
