Zen Bound is a meditative game involving wrapping objects of wood and stone with rope. It has an appeal that's hard to describe and is the perfect demonstration of what iPhone gaming can be.

The Lite version offers two levels from the award-winning game and is a "must try" for all iPhone and iPod Touch owners. The full version of the game is priced at $4.99.

I"m gonna download it and see if I like it I have heard good things about it.

I like it a lot–I haven't gotten good at it but it's "cool" anyway! Very slick and unusual.

(And like the Mac game Tranquility, is surprisingly difficult and maddening–at first–despite the name! But like Tranquility, I expect it becomes easier as you get the hang of it.)

Didn't really get what all the fuss was about, so I tried the Lite version. The production quality is excellent: very immersive music and sound, the graphics and textures are lovely, and the controls feel right on.

That said, I still don't see what all the fuss is about. Wrapping up a wooden object in string is just not that interesting to me. A highly polished game with an uninteresting concept is definitely not worth $5 for the full version, at least not for me. I guess either you "get it", or you don't.

To each their own. Glad the Lite version became available so I could at least try it out.

It was worth trying out for free, and an interesting concept, but I don't think it's worth spending $5 on.

i sometimes spend 5$ on a burger & fries at macdonalds. a questionable gain as well…

Honestly, it's the only game in which I almost finished all the levels…

What the hell is up with is? You wrap a piece of wood with string. That definitely beats gunning down Nazi's in BiA or slashing monsters in Hero of Sparta.

I'm not going to buy it because I have saturated my iPod with games that I barely play, but now I see why it's a great game. At first I was just wrapping a beautifully polished string around an equally polished block of wood. The physics (yes it is a physics concept of tension and friction) of the rope are great and very true to life. However, I then started really thinking about how I would wrap the block and made it into a puzzle. It became very challenging and now I realize what the hype was about. The concept of this is amazing. Who knew that so much thought could go into such a simple idea. I won't be buying this for a while and only if there's a price drop, but now at least I see why it's so great.

It took me a couple of minutes and a visit to youtube to figure I was not supposed to bound the tree of introduction. I was wondering where the string was.
