David Framptom of Majic Jungle Software let us know that Chopper [App Store] for the iPhone has been reduced in price to $4.99 in the App Store (down from $7.99).
Chopper is a side-scrolling helicopter game in which you try to complete specific missions and return to base while avoiding enemy fire. The iPhone version is an improved adaptation of the Macintosh original, which was inspired by the classic game Choplifter. Chopper takes full advantage of the iPhone's 3D graphics hardware, accelerometers and touchscreen control.
Back in June we had a chance to interview David about his iPhone title, which has proved highly successful.

I've gotten a ton of enjoyment out of this game at $7.99. Totally worth it for the reduced price. I really hope an update comes out with additional levels and art, but it's still great as-is.

I was never incredibly drawn to this game, but it actually looks pretty fun.
I like that there's goals like rescuing people.

That looks pretty weak, it gives me hope for my own game ideas. I can't see who would pay $7.99 if you can get Spore for $9.99 (perhaps that is why the price cut)

This is a great game, wish I had waited for the price drop now. Damn

The game is actually lots of fun and it probably has the tightest accelerometer controls for any game. Everything just feels right with this title and for 5 bucks it is well worth it.

@ steve
I think this game is more fun than Spore. Spore gets repetitive pretty quickly while Chopper has lots of replay value, especially if you set the difficulty to harder. I bought it at $7.99 and am still happy with it.
