1978 LED Football Game Coming Soon to iPhone

For the retro handheld gamers out there, TouchGrove let us know that they are working on an iPhone version of the old 1978 electronic handheld football game. The app will be called LED Football and is presently in beta testing but they are hoping for a release as early as next week.

The game will be priced at $0.99 and should bring back memories for some:

    Completely fantastic idea. I will be buying it given the price. Yeah, mostly for nostalgia (and so I'm glad it will be no more than $1), but the game was fun too, at least at the time. I guess I'll find out if it's still fun now.

    I cannot wait for this to come out. I didn't have foot ball back in the day but I had the old school LED soccer game that was just like it. At $.99 just try and get me to not buy it!!

    I agree there could be legal issues with this game since they rereleased this in the stores in the US last winter. I think the baseball version was too.
