Square Enix reveealed Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent () as a mobile exclusive prequel to the superb JRPG Octopath Traveler a while ago. Since the original announcement, details have been slowly revealed for Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent including a closed demo that some players could access in Japan. The game is set in the same universe as the main console game with characters from the main game showing up here. It was delayed to 2020 back in November last year. Today, Square Enix has announced a release date for iOS and Android alongside the reveal of a new trailer. Watch the gameplay trailer for Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent below:
Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent is a single player RPG that is free to play. It releases on October 28th in Japan on iOS and Android. A localisaton and international release are yet to be announced.
