After originally revealing NieR Re[in]carnation during the 10th anniversary livestream for NieR (originally released on PS3 and Xbox 360) series, Square Enix showcased gameplay for the upcoming mobile NieR game over the weekend. While most NieR fans are likely looking forward to the release of the updated version of NieR Replicant that is in development for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, it is good to see the first gameplay of NieR Re[in]carnation still feel and look like a true NieR game. Watch the new gameplay trailer for it below:
NieR: Automata had a lot of segments where you walked across massive areas with the camera changing perspectives often. NieR Re[in]carnation’s trailer above has a look at that with the virtual controls shown. The music in the trailer sounds amazing as expected. If you haven’t played a NieR game yet, you should at least listen to the music. NieR Re[in]carnation is being developed by Applibot with character designs by Cydesignation of Cygames. A release window and localisation have still not been announced for it. I hope the game does release in the West soon after the Japanese release because NieR is definitely a big brand in the West after how successful NieR: Automata has been on consoles. Check out the official Japanese website for the game here. Have you played NieR Automata or the original NieR?
