Last week, Square Enix announced that NieR Re[in]carnation is currently being localised for iOS and Android release in the West. This includes an English dub. NieR Re[in]carnation, developed by Applibot featuring designs by CyDesignation and music by Keiichi Okabe (NieR), is set to release on February 18th in Japan and it can now be downloaded on iOS and Android. If you missed the first gameplay showcase for it, check it out here. NieR Re[in]carnation is a 477MB download on iOS but it likely requires an in-game download as well that isn’t live right now since servers are not live. Servers should go live after noon (Japan time) on Thursday. Ahead of tomorrow’s release, Square Enix also had a livestream for the game showcasing new gameplay. Watch it below:
With servers going live tomorrow, the NieR Automata collaboration featuring 2B, A2, and 9S will also go live. The English version of NieR Re[in]carnation is also planned to include fixes following the Japanese release in the initial English release. NieR Re[in]carnation officially launches on February 18th. If you’d like to try out the Japanese version, pre-downloads are now live on Google Play for Android and on the App Store for iOS here for Japan. I’m looking forward to checking it out tomorrow when servers go live and have it downloaded on my iPhone right now. Before the NieR Re[in]carnation servers go live tomorrow, you can also check out SINoALICE and read my interview with Yoko Taro here. Are you going to try the Japanese version of NieR Re[in]carnation or are you waiting for the English release?
