The Pathless from Giant Squid and Annapurna Interactive is one of the first games to be announced for Apple Arcade. The game was originally revealed for PS4 and PC last year before getting confirmed for Apple Arcade. It has also been featured quite heavily in promo material for Apple Arcade. Over the weekend, Giant Squid announced a delay for The Pathless. This delay is to ensure it meets the high quality standards the studio has. You play as the Hunter in The Pathless who has an eagle as a companion. Your aim is to explore a cursed island and get rid of the darkness. ABZU from Giant Squid was pretty great even though it wasn’t as amazing as Journey even though many compared it to that calling it a successor. The Pathless looks excellent so far and I can’t wait to play it next year. As of now, no release window has been announced but it will ship on Apple Arcade even though it won’t be a launch title. I LOVE Abzu! Had it on the PS4, and in a few days I’m looking forward to getting it right away on the Switch Lite on the 20th when I get it! It’s actually the first game I will get from the Nintendo shop! I’m ocean-oriented, in that I love deep sea fishing, spear fishing, boating, saltwater aquariums, jet skiing, and when I was younger, I was the total surfer. So it’s just natural that I would be attracted to Abzu! I love the graphics, the music, the exploration, and the wonder of it all! For me, it’s enthralling to say the least! I’ve been craving that kind of game for a long time and this delivers! I actually got the Abzu Mobile game, but that really sucked, a big disappointment, and it was soon pulled from the store. No big loss there! But the way it is on the consoles, it’s AMAZING! Whole different animal! There’s a Spearfishing game called Freediving Hunter Adrenaline, that’s absolutely incredible IMO! It’s the best of its kind I’ve ever played! I highly recommend it, for those who are so inclined! You’ll DIG it! Can’t wait to play Abzu on my shiny new Switch Lite! After all the coverage here for the Switch, I finally got off the fence and pre-ordered one! Really looking forward to it!
