On this first Brad Nicholson-less episode of the TouchArcade show, we snag fellow fart noise enthusiast and developer of both Mikey Shorts ($1.99) and Mikey Hooks ($1.99), Mike Meade for the middle position on our three seat tandem podcasting bike. We proverbially peddle through the big game releases of the week, touching on the craftapalooza that happened between Junk Jack X ($4.99) and Terraria ($4.99) along with tons of other cool games. We wax intellectual over Candy Crush (Free) as well as talk about how mad the entirety of the internet seems to be about the recently released Nintendo 2DS.
As always, you can listen to the embedded podcast below or subscribe to us either on iTunes or the Microsoft-y equivalent. We appreciate reviews on both, so, if you’ve got some time be sure to plug one in.

Great week as far as news this week I thought 😄
If you understand what you're doing, you're are intelligent.
Then don't waste time and move to… www.bay35.ℂℴm
Shut up attention whore
JjX and Terraria made this the best week ever for me! Only way I could be happier is if minecraft pe suddenly became the exact same as minecraft PC. Lol
I like Junk Jack X! The only problem about multiplayer is the grief players. Grief players ruins everything.
It reminded my about when I was playing the BlockHeads, one grief player burned my big wood house. But now I have a marble/bronze house, which will never get destroyed.
Great show. I'm really liking the in depth conversation. I never understood candy crush but perhaps now I have a better grasp of how it's underlying mechanism works.
On another topic: lots of weird digital audio artifacts in the feed. Noticeable but not so that it hurt the show.
The things I notice, OFAP.
Yeah, this one was way longer, and I was trying to keep the file size similar. If you guys don't mind a larger file size I can really crank the quality up.
edit: Swapped out the file for a higher bitrate one if you want to redownload.
I like the longer podcasts, bring back the old days of 90min podcasts :-)
Yeah I missed Brad this week but what a good podcast dudes! The conversation went way deeper than normal and I loved that. I really like hearing what other developers like and are playing so having a guest slot for them is a great idea ... *fart noise
Liked the podcast too, but it will take a little getting used to since Brad is gone...
I'd like to say that I was on vacation and now kinda startled, and anxious, to find out about the 2DS. Did Nintendo become stupid?
I miss Brad's loud commanding voice :,(
The podcast is a lot quieter without him.
These are some big shoes to fill we need someone with energy and enthusiasm.
The Internet getting mad at Nintendo for making the 2DS really just goes to show they get mad at anything because they have an outlet to speak. Seriously, what harm does a cheaper, lesser quality system have to do with anyone that already owns one? Oh that's right...it doesn't.
Actually, it harms 3DS sales. Which is to say the only 'person' it harms is Nintendo. But fans will complain about anything it seems.
Candy Crush sounds like it capitalizes on the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat.
Anyone into JJX / Terraria should play Growtopia. Same concept but MMO. Had 5,000+ players online at once couple days ago. At once.
What happened to Brad?
He got a new job. Much success is wished upon BMuscles.
Man, without Brad, these topics go on way longer... But it's good! Mike was good, but I think it's clear Eli is the new host, driving the direction of the cast.
Loved the deeper more detailed discussion of stuff and doing away with overly long talk about puke buckets. I won't miss those chats.
Please keep up this new direction
You guys are great
This game just made me hungry!
I've been a listener since the earliest days of Team Nicholson, and I must say, as much as I miss Brad, you did a pretty swell job. I hope the format "Eli and Jared and a developer" will be a thing that is a thing, it's always interesting to hear the perspective of someone who actually creates the content you are discussing.
