Playdigious is set to bring three major updates from Motion Twin to Dead Cells ($8.99) on mobile next month together. On mobile, Dead Cells previously got its huge DLC this year in the form of ‘The Queen and the Sea’ for iOS and Android. If you haven’t bought Dead Cells on mobile yet, read my review on the game’s current state here. Today, Motion Twin announced that the next free update on PC and consoles will bring in Shovel Knight as a playable character. We’ve had a few playable characters added to the game before, and the newest one is going to be Shovel Knight with the King Scepter. A release date has not been announced, but you can watch some footage of Shovel Knight in Dead Cells from the upcoming free update below:
