Following the release of Final Fantasy V Pixel Remaster, Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remaster ($12.99) was delayed and expected in February 2022. The delay was to let the team have enough time to polish while finishing development. If you’ve not followed the series so far, these releases include UI improvements, auto-battle options, a rearranged soundtrack, and updated pixel art. Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remaster has just gone up for pre-order on the App Store listing that it will release on February 24th. Square Enix announced that it will release beginning February 23rd (PST/GMT) so it should be out everywhere by the 24th. Pre-registrations are also live on Google Play with no chance on the Steam page as of this writing. Check out a gameplay screenshot from it below:
