Apple Arcade adds three games this week with one App Store Great and two new originals for the service. Layton’s Mystery Journey+ () by Level-5 originally released on iOS, Android, and Nintendo 3DS before it saw a Nintendo Switch port. The 10th anniversary celebration Layton game was paid with some in-game purchases for more costumes and puzzles. The Apple Arcade release will not have any extra purchases required. We featured the original as our Game of the Week when it released. Read Shaun’s review of it here as well.
MasterChef: Let’s Cook () from Tilting Point and Old Skull Games is the first new game of the week. Tilting Point previously brought Star Trek Legends to Apple Arcade. MasterChef: Let’s Cook is a fast-paced competitive cooking game where you face off against players across the globe in mini-games while trying to win the MasterChef jury. You will go through different episodes as your custom avatar taking on different dishes and mini-games with each episode featuring its own theme.
Zen Pinball Party () is the other new game that hit the service beginning last night depending on your timezone. This compilation features many licensed tables including Trolls Pinball, Kung Fu Panda Pinball, and more. There are also licensed Hasbro tables like My Little Pony, and some original tables. More tables will be added in the future. You can see a full list of included tables on the game’s website.
This week’s updates include LEGO Brawls getting Isla Nublar after dark with the return of Jurassic World featuring dino powerups, emotes, new Jurassic World minifigs each week, and more. The Apple Arcade game that keeps giving, Sneaky Sasquatch, added mushroom foraging, the ability to work as a ferry captain, house painting, running a private campground on an island, and more. This update rolled out a few days ago.
