We’ve been covering Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi and Mistwalker’s Fantasian () ever since it initially was revealed for Apple Arcade. It finally arrived earlier this year bringing the first part of a grand adventure to subscribers across the globe. We didn’t review it at the time because part 2 was set to release later on and it finally arrived recently. Shaun had a lot to say about the complete Fantasian experience in his review which you can read here. Today, Mistwalker released a behind-the-scenes video showcasing how the team worked with various tools and the diorama for an explosive battle scene. It also shows how the different cameras were used and a staff reaction for the specific explosion. Watch the diorama destruction video below:
One of the highlights of Fantasian is the diorama aesthetic and the video above shows how much work went into showcasing a specific scene in the game. I still haven’t managed to finish it yet but am slowly chipping away at the massive RPG. If you haven’t gotten the game on Apple Arcade yet, you can get Fantasian here.
