Delightful Word Puzzler ‘wurdweb’ from Adriaan De Jongh and Aran Koning Is This Week’s New Apple Arcade Release Out Now alongside Four Notable Game Updates

Alongside the long-awaited arrival of Fantasian part 2, this week sees another excellent game hit the service in the form of wurdweb from developer Adriaan de Jongh and Aran Koning. If you’ve not played Hidden Folks from them yet, definitely check it out. Their new project is wurdweb for Apple Arcade that aim to satisfy those looking for Sunday morning newspaper word puzzles. As expected, it has some lovely interactions and elegant animations and sound effects. The current release supports multiple languages and has infinite and unique puzzles generated, added game modes, rotating game modes, and more. I’ve been playing it on and off today and it is superb so far. Check it out on Apple Arcade here and watch the trailer for it below:

For updates, I already covered Fantasian part 2 earlier today, but there are four more nice updates to the service. The Oregon Trail from Gameloft got its first update in a few months with some massive additions. The Oregon Trail 1.2.0 brings fishing (mini-game and in the main game) with its own set of collectibles, a new journey and quests, balance updates, UI updates, and more. Taiko no Tatsujin Pop Tap Beat from Bandai Namco Entertainment added five new songs today including the Star Wars main theme, “He’s a Pirate" from Pirates of the Caribbean, another 20th anniversary song, and more. More songs will be added soon as well. Simon’s Cat – Story Time from Tactile Games Limited has added more levels, visual improvements, the scupture garden, a new booster system, and more today. The final update of the week is Star Trek: Legends from Tilting Point which added Pavel Chekov and Elnor to the roster, better controller support, changes to skill descriptions, and many fixes and improvements.
