Last week, Apple brought another game to the service in the form of Towers of Everland () which is a grid based first person dungeon crawler with a nice aesthetic. Yesterday, Apple announced this week’s Apple Arcade addition which is a rare thing. Usually, Apple just releases a new game each week directly without any sort of prior announcement or promotion. SpongeBob: Patty Pursuit is this week’s Apple Arcade game and it is the second game on the service from Nickelodeon after Loud House: Outta Control. Check out review of that here. SpongeBob: Patty Pursuit has gone live earlier than expected on the App Store. Check out a screenshot from it below:
Your aim in SpongeBob: Patty Pursuit is to stop Plankton from stealing the Krabby Patty formula. It is a side scrolling endless runner and while it does have interesting character interactions from the SpongeBob universe, the performance isn’t great. I noticed a few slowdowns on my iPhone 11. If you’re interested in checking it out, SpongeBob: Patty Pursuit is now available on Apple Arcade. Check it out on the App Store here. For all other Apple Arcade related things, check out our dedicated Apple Arcade forum for discussion on the service and every game included here. Did you enjoy the last few additions to the service?
